Announcing: Eversense CGM Sponsorship of Type One Run

 2018-08-28

We’re thrilled to announce today that Senseonics, the makers of the recently FDA approved Eversense Continuous Glucose Monitor (CGM), has joined forces with Beyond Type 1 as the Worldwide Presenting Sponsor of Type One Run. Their support powers the continued growth of Type One Run—which has exploded from 12 to over 100 chapters in 2018. Senseonics will be partnering with Beyond Type 1 to build support, community and awareness for those affected by type 1 diabetes through running.

“One of our core beliefs is to help people with diabetes confidently live with ease. The Eversense CGM System provides a new long-term CGM option for patients who want to actively manage their diabetes,” said Mirasol Panlilio, Vice President and General Manager of Global Commercial at Senseonics. “The system fits well for athletes and runners who can enjoy the benefit of a secure sensor during physical activities. We are proud to partner with Beyond Type 1 and sponsor the Type One Run’s more than 100 chapters worldwide to empower people with diabetes to live their healthiest lives.”

Community support is key to our work at Beyond Type 1—both online and in person. Type One Run is a key program bringing local type 1 diabetes communities together. Helping people impacted by type 1 #LiveBeyond their diagnosis has been a core part of our energies since day one and the Eversense CGM system provides people with a management tool that aligns with our core values in a natural way. We’re thrilled to bring the energy and innovation of Senseonics to our community through this Type One Run partnership,” said Sarah Lucas, CEO of Beyond Type 1.

Over the next year, Eversense’s “Ever Mobile Clinic” will be making pit-stops at Type One Run meetups. The Ever Mobile Clinic is custom-designed clinic inside an expandable 18-wheeler to provide demonstrations and patient education about continuous glucose monitoring. Stay tuned and keep an eye out for the Ever Mobile Clinic!
