Esto significa que el p&aacute;ncreas deja de producir cantidades suficientes de insulina (como en el caso de la diabetes tipo 1). En algunas ocasiones una persona con CFRD no puede absorber la insulina (como en el caso de la diabetes tipo 2) por lo que tienen resistencia a la insulina. Puede presentarse esta situaci&oacute;n cuando la persona est&aacute; enferma, utilizando medicamentos a base de esteroides o durante el embarazo. (<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cff.org\/Living-with-CF\/Cystic-Fibrosis-related-Diabetes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cystic Fibrosis Foundation<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">).<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>&iquest;Cu&aacute;les son los s&iacute;ntomas de diabetes relacionada con la fibrosis qu&iacute;stica (CFRD)?<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La sintomatolog&iacute;a es parecida a aquella de la diabetes tipo 1. Sin embargo, puede ser similar a la fibrosis qu&iacute;stica y pasar desapercibida. Se requieren pruebas de diabetes para diagnosticar con certeza la CFRD.
