A trav&eacute;s de plataformas, programas, recursos y subvenciones, Beyond Type 1 est&aacute; uniendo a la comunidad mundial de diabetes y brindando soluciones para mejorar las vidas hoy. Kristian se desempe&ntilde;&oacute; anteriormente como directora ejecutiva de Desarrollo y Salud Comunitaria en la Asociaci&oacute;n Estadounidense del Coraz&oacute;n del Sureste de Michigan. En este puesto, fue responsable de liderar las funciones de Impacto Comunitario, Desarrollo y Comunicaciones y de liderar la estrategia de impacto de la misi&oacute;n para el sureste de Michigan con el objetivo de transformar los entornos donde las personas viven, trabajan, juegan, rezan y aprenden. Durante 11 a&ntilde;os, el trabajo de Kristian en la Asociaci&oacute;n Estadounidense del Coraz&oacute;n ayud&oacute; a construir una cultura de salud para todos en el sureste de Michigan. Adem&aacute;s, Kristian actualmente forma parte del Comit&eacute; Ejecutivo de la Junta Directiva de H&aacute;bitat para la Humanidad de Michigan; una organizaci&oacute;n de apoyo estatal para los afiliados de H&aacute;bitat que representa a m&aacute;s de 50 afiliados de H&aacute;bitat para la Humanidad en todo Michigan, as&iacute; como miembro actual de la Junta de Amigos de la Asociaci&oacute;n de Parques de Pontiac. Kristian tiene una licenciatura en Administraci&oacute;n y una licenciatura en Ciencias Pol&iacute;ticas de la Universidad Case Western Reserve en Cleveland, Ohio.
