Arizona native Paloma Kemak was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes as an adult at the age of 23. Beginning a new lifestyle at an age where she thought she already knew it all was extremely difficult. From that point forward it has been her mission to change the way people see diabetes and that’s how Glitter Glucose was born on instagram and Youtube! Paloma shares her life as a T1D while simultaneously having a career in the fashion industry, traveling, and volunteering with diabetic organizations in the community. A dedicated philanthropist, Tracey McCarter has raised millions of dollars for Type 1 efforts since her daughter Charlize was diagnosed in 2009 at the age of 4. Tracey earned her MBA from USC and currently serves on the Northeastern Regional Board of Young President’s Organization (YPO). She was recognized in 2017 by the JDRF’s Orange County, CA chapter as its gala honoree, after years of service to JDRF efforts in CA. Tracey has built a Beyond Type 1 community in NYC to bring the virtual community together in real life. She now lives in Scottsdale with her husband Josh & daughters Sydney and Charlize.
