Jennifer Schneider, MD
Jennifer Schneider, MD is a physician-scientist and translational medicine entrepreneur. She co-founded a diabetes company that partnered with Insulet to develop Omnipod Horizon. Currently she is advising several early stage medical device companies and is a visiting scholar at Stanford. She serves on the JDRF Board of Directors and Research Committee as well as the Greater Bay Area chapter board. She also serves on the California Institute of Regenerative Medicine’s Clinical Advisory Panel for diabetes.
Prior to her work in the diabetes space, she practiced orthopedic surgery at Stanford and the Palo Alto Medical Foundation. She earned her undergraduate degree from Harvard University, her MD from Georgetown University, and completed her general surgery internship and orthopedic surgery residency at Stanford University. Jennifer’s daughter and husband both live with type 1. Her husband developed type 1 as an adult, and just a few years later their daughter developed type 1 at the age of two.
