Meet the Jones Family: Type 1 Warrior Elladia, Mom + Advocate Evelina, Dad + Proud supporter Glenn, and Brother + Biggest Cheerleader Hunter. The Jones Family has been a part of Beyond Type 1 since January 16, 2015, when Elladia Jones received her life-changing diagnosis of type 1 diabetes. Since then, Elladia, Evelina, Glenn & Hunter have become advocates and activists for type 1. The Jones family has raised money for multiple charitable causes including the Revlon Million Dollar Challenge and Beyond Type 1 Power Up Challenge. As a BT1 Ambassador, Elladia uses her platform as a model and actress to inspire and encourage others. In September 2016, she had the opportunity to walk the red carpet at Miss America to represent Beyond Type 1. At the Radio Disney Music Awards in April 2017, Elladia and a group of type one warrior friends joined Nick Jonas onstage to accept his HERO award. Every day, the Jones Family works to bring awareness of what type 1 diabetes is and encourage other kids with this lifelong battle — and Elladia shares her journey to #LiveBeyond on Instagram @elladiajones. With the support of her family, she is fearless and determined in facing this challenge, and the Jones family is proudly type 1 strong.
