Tracey McCarter, Interim CEO
Tracey McCarter currently serves as Interim CEO of Beyond Type 1. Tracey has been a part of the organization since its inception in 2015, when she served on the organization’s Leadership Council and helped build a Beyond Type 1 presence in New York City, bringing the virtual community to life. In 2018, she was elected to the Board of Directors and has become a beloved leader within the organization, never hesitating to provide council, insight, and ideas that help propel the team forward in its mission to change what it means to live with diabetes.
For more than a decade, she has served as a dedicated philanthropist, raising millions of dollars for Type 1 efforts since her daughter Charlize was diagnosed in 2009 at the age of 4. She was recognized in 2017 by JDRF’s Orange County chapter as its Gala Honoree, after years of service to JDRF efforts in California.
Prior to joining the world of philanthropy, she held a variety of operations, marketing, and managerial positions at various companies. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of California at Berkeley and her MBA from the University of Southern California.
She currently serves on the Spouse/Partner Community Board for the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO) and lives in Scottsdale, Arizona with her husband Josh and daughters Sydney and Charlize.
