Victor Garber

Originally from London, Ontario, Victor Garber was diagnosed with Type 1 in 1962, at the age of 13. A multi-nominated actor in film, television as well as on the stage, he hasn’t let the disease hold him back. A few of the acclaimed films he’s worked on are Argo, Sicario, Milk, The First Wives Club, Sleepless in Seattle, Legally Blonde and Titanic. He’s co-starred in television shows such as Alias, Eli Stone, Justice and Deception, Legends of Tomorrow and has also appeared on  The Flash, The Big C, Nurse Jackie, Damages and Glee to name a few. As a beloved member of the Leadership Council since 2015, he engages in Type 1 diabetes philanthropy to raise awareness and funds for a cure and is passionate about inspiring T1D youth to follow their dreams. He is the international spokesperson for our DKA Awareness campaign + the voice behind many of our videos aimed at educating the world about Type 1.
