Tell us about the first time you rode a bike.
Can’t remember the very first time i rode a bike as a kid, but I do remember early last year a few months diagnosis I went out on my brand new bike in the park next door for a simple 14km ride and falling over a few times as I learnt how to use cleats on a cold day with the biggest smile and thinking “wow” that was impressive after 2 years of very bad health.

Tell us about a crazy moment or embarrassing experience with Type 1.
Brussels airport security check and the lady on the check asked, whats that thing on your arm (libre sensor) and I said I worked for Apple and I am traveling around the world to beta test products for iPhone 10. Her jaw dropped and she started asking about features and prices and as the queue behind (who I told about the sensor already) me started to laugh I told her that it really is a flash glucose monitoring device.
