Veterans with Diabetes
Did you know veterans are 2.5 times more likely than non-veterans to have diabetes? Not only that, but the disease impacts nearly 25 percent of all veterans. Type 2 diabetes in those who have served is also associated with exposure to the herbicide Agent Orange, as well as past physical strain with chronic pain, and degenerative joint damage.
Here, we’ve compiled some helpful resources + personal stories for veterans living with diabetes. Check out Armed For Diabetes for more resources specifically pertaining to continuous glucose monitoring and its benefits for veterans with diabetes.
