Diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at age 5, Richard Biven of New Orleans. The team of 22 riders with the chronic illness will take off June 3, 2017, and travel over 4,000 miles. They also plan to collectively raise $100,000, advocating awareness for Type 1 diabetes along the way from NYC to San Francisco, CA.
