Sequel and Senseonics Join Forces to Enhance Diabetes Management

Sequel Med Tech, LLC, and Senseonics Holdings, Inc., have announced a commercial development agreement to integrate advanced diabetes technologies. The partnership combines Sequel’s twiist Automated Insulin Delivery (AID) System with Senseonics’ Eversense 365, the only year-long implantable continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) system.
Key advancements in automated insulin delivery
The twiist AID System, powered by the Tidepool Loop algorithm, automatically adjusts insulin delivery based on real-time glucose readings.
The system is FDA-cleared for people six years and older with type 1 diabetes.
Expanded options for diabetes management
This collaboration expands CGM options for twiist AID System users, who will now be able to choose between Senseonics’ Eversense 365 and Abbott’s FreeStyle Libre 3 Plus.
The goal is to provide greater personalization, convenience, and improved glucose control for people with diabetes.
Timeline for integration and availability
The Eversense 365 received FDA clearance in 2024 as an integrated CGM (iCGM) system.
Its compatibility with the twiist AID System is expected to be commercially available by the third quarter of 2025.
