Bike Beyond

Summer 2017 – Team Bike Beyond will be embarking on an epic, 10-week adventure, pedaling from New York City to San Francisco. The international team of 24 riders* hail from the US, UK, Australia, Canada and New Zealand. All are living with Type 1 diabetes — collectively with a whopping 293 years of experience! As they journey across the country, they’ll be destroying stereotypes and showing the world what living beyond Type 1 looks like. Sound outrageous? Sound like a double-dog-dare you? Sounds about right.

Cue: “Born to be Wild.” Are you playing your air guitar yet? Because Bike Beyond is literally a party on wheels, speeding across the US, “from sea to shining sea.” We’ll be stopping in all kinds of cool cities, hosting events and cutting loose, showing what it’s like to be a diabadass. And you don’t have to be a rider to join in the fun.

Check out the many ways you can get involved! The route is detailed here — we just may be cruising through your hometown.
