What does it take to be a type 1 diabetic (T1D) Hero? A consistent, unwavering, every-day commitment to the cause.

Nick Jonas received this year’s Radio Disney Hero Award in recognition of his dedication to advocacy, education and a cure for type 1 diabetes on an everyday basis since he was diagnosed in 2005—including co-founding Beyond Type 1.
