Low Carb Old Fashioned

Who doesn’t love an Old Fashioned? You can enjoy this classic drink with a lower carb impact on your blood sugar levels. Voilá! Easy to make and even easier to enjoy when living with diabetes. This might have approximately 4 grams of carbs.
Ingredients:
- dash of bitters
- RYE whiskey or bourbon to taste
- 1 sugar cube
- Orange peel (as much as you want or like)
- Add sugar cube to your glass
- Add bitters slowly, let them mix with your sweetener until it dissolves
- Add ice!
- Add whiskey or bourbon
- Garnish with orange peel
