Marina Basina, MD

Dr Basina is a clinical professor of Medicine in the Division of Endocrinology Stanford University School of Medicine. She serves as medical director of inpatient diabetes service, type 1 diabetes program, and a member of Stanford Diabetes Research Center. Dr. Basina received numerous teaching awards, master teacher award, and a Stanford Hospital award for excellence in patient care. Her clinical and research interests are in type 1 diabetes, diabetes technology, diabetes in pregnancy and prevention of diabetes complications. She is a co-investigator on several NIH funded clinical trials, member of the NIH Type 1 Diabetes Acute Pancreatitis Consortium, member of Type 1 Diabetes Exchange, and JDRF Northern California Board of Directors Member. She is an active member of medical advisory board for type 1 community organizations.
