Beta Bionics launches iLet Bionic Pancreas with FreeStyle Libre 3 Plus, offering real-time, autonomous glucose monitoring for type 1 diabetes users.
On October 30, 2024, Beta Bionics announced the official launch of its iLet Bionic Pancreas with integration to Abbott’s FreeStyle Libre 3 Plus sensor.
This innovative pairing provides people with type 1 diabetes a new, streamlined way to monitor and manage glucose levels in real-time.
A New Level of Autonomous Insulin Delivery
The iLet Bionic Pancreas is an advanced insulin delivery system that now connects to Abbott’s FreeStyle Libre 3 Plus sensor, delivering automatic insulin doses based on continuous glucose readings updated every minute.
Users experience hands-free dosing without the need for carb counting or daily insulin adjustments—the iLet system adapts over time to each user’s needs.
“GO BIONIC” – Diabetes Management Made Simple
By opting for this iLet and FreeStyle Libre integration, users can experience the convenience of fully autonomous insulin delivery that learns and customizes based on their unique needs.
Only a simple weight entry is required to start the device, allowing users to “GO BIONIC” and let the iLet make all insulin dosing decisions.
Enhanced Support Through the Bionic Circle App
Beta Bionics also unveiled the Bionic Circle app, a companion app that lets users invite up to 10 friends and family members to monitor their glucose levels, meal entries, insulin doses, and trends remotely.
With Bionic Circle, loved ones can receive alerts and stay informed of the user’s health, offering additional peace of mind, whether at school, work, or while traveling.
Easy Access to Integrated Diabetes Management Tools
With the iLet Bionic Pancreas and FreeStyle Libre 3 Plus sensor available at pharmacies and medical equipment providers, users can choose a convenient pay-as-you-go model for easier access to these life-changing tools.
Current iLet users can simply update their app and software to enable this integration.
The combined efforts of Beta Bionics and Abbott aim to make diabetes management less burdensome and more adaptable to daily life, empowering people with diabetes to live with greater confidence and independence.
