Missy Leiting became Vice President of Operations, Finance & Planning at Beyond Type 1 in February 2023.  Missy joins with 20 years of experience scaling marketplace tech companies.

Previously, Missy served as Chief Operating Officer of Zeel where she led Zeel’s Finance, Operations, Trust & Safety, and Provider Acquisition teams through the company’s growth and expansion into new markets and verticals.  Prior to becoming Zeel’s COO in 2018, Missy served as VP of Finance and Administration and is considered a founding team member.

Before joining Zeel, Missy led Finance & Administration at Dotmenu, Inc., the parent company of Campusfood.com and Allmenus.com. She was part of the core founding team that took the company from late startup phase in 2004 to its sale to Grubhub in 2011, yielding shareholders a 5-10x return.

Missy holds a BBA in Finance from the Tippie College of Business at the University of Iowa.  Her finance background combined with her scaling marketplaces provides her with a unique skill set focused on revenue acceleration and cost-measuring efficiencies.
